Create a Job
On the Standard toolbar, click , or select Job Submission from the Optimization menu:Â
Choose how the job will be optimized and then complete the steps for that method:
Unseeded optimization - See Creating an unseeded optimization job
Seeded optimization - Alignment seed, Feature seed, or Quick seed - See Creating a seeded optimization job: Alignment seed
Realignment - See Creating a realignment optimization job: Realignment
3. Verify the job name, changing it if necessary. A job name is automatically generated, based on the scenario name and the task. The following naming convention is applied:
Unseeded _U_x
Total optimization of an alignment seed _T_x
Vertical optimization of an alignment seed _V_x
Local optimization of an alignment seed _L_x
Feature _F_x
Quick _Q_x
Realignment _R_x
Table
Note: the _x refers to the submission type number for the scenario. For example, if this is the second refinement for the given scenario (i.e. you are refining two different seeds in the same scenario) then the numbers will be _1 and _2.
4. In the Notes field, enter the job notes that record what will be achieved by this particular optimization. Job notes are entered separately from scenario notes, which are common to all job submissions that use the same scenario.
5. In the Submit by field select how you want to submit your job. If you want to optimize using Quantm Desktop software select local Default. If you want to optimize using the Quantm Service select the method for submitting the job. You can choose between Desktop and FTP. See Submit a job.
6. Click Submit.
