Realignment

A realignment optimization creates complying alignments that are as close as possible to an existing road or railway. For example, select Realignment if you need to:

• Reuse a road surface or footprint (usually of an old road) to ensure that the minimum area of new land is required.

• Reuse the centerline (usually of a railway line) to ensure that the old tracks are reused.
