Select Alignments
When an alignment file is opened, the Alignment Review dialog box shows all alignments in the file, their default alignment names, costs, display colors, and the warnings associated with each alignment.
You can use this dialog to do the following:
Order any column by clicking the heading. This can be particularly useful for ordering by alignment cost. The options are:
Alignment name - using the name of the alignment to sort the results
Length - sorting the results by the length of the results
$ - sort the results by total cost
Color - sort the results by color bands
Warning - sort the results by warnings
Change the overall color scheme. Select from the Color scheme drop-down list. Color scheme options are:
Blocked
Customized
Gradient
Rainbow.
Rename an individual alignment. Double-click the alignment and then change its name.
Change the color of individual alignments. Select an alignment, then click the color box and then select another color from the palette. By using the [Ctrl] and [Shift] keys it is possible to select multiple alignments and change their colors together.
Set the stationing (chainage) at which all routes begin. Enter a value into the Distance at start field. This sets the stationing (chainage) for the first point on the alignment. Use this to preserve context if the alignment is a bypass or realignment that involves an existing route where all locations are identified by a certain distance from some common reference point:
Select the alignments to be viewed in the Plan view. To select a subset of the alignments for display, clear the All items check box and then select alignments individually by checking the appropriate boxes:
At any stage click the View button to review the selected alignments.
Other controls in the dialog are:
Open - Open another alignment file for review. If the Append check box is already selected, the new routes append to the existing list rather than replacing it.
View - Review the selected alignments.
End View - End the display.
Save - Save the selected alignment(s) to file
Save as - Save the selected alignment(s) to a new file.
Export - Export selected alignment(s). For supported formats see Exporting Alignments
Summaries - Generate alignment summary reports that provide a breakdown of structure and earthwork quantities and costs.
Cancel - Cancels the review and closes the Alignment Review window
