Start Planning as Early as Possible
You do not need to wait until detailed data is available. Coarse data and assumed parameters can narrow the corridor, and greatly reduce the area over which detailed information has to be collected.
Planning is an iterative process. The first plans are usually conceptual and based on coarse data and assumed parameters and constraints but, as you proceed, planning becomes more focused and requires more detailed and accurate information. The Quantm system is extremely flexible in the demands it places upon data and in its ability to satisfy diverse constraints. Data requirements tend to be of the form “If you want to take this constraint into consideration, you must provide the following information”. If you do not have the information, the constraint cannot be applied.
