Capture an Image in Plan View
From the General tab, click and then select Capture Plan View Image.
The Capture area has two options; capturing the Entire study area or a specified Region. Click the option you require.
The Entire study area will automatically clip to the extent of the DTM.
To define a region, click and drag the cursor diagonally to create a region area to export, or enter in the appropriate values in the Left, Top, Width, and Height boxes.
Define an Image size by setting a meters per pixel or feet per pixel value. The lower this value, the higher resolution and more detail in the output image. The smaller the scale, the larger the image size. The corresponding dimensions of the image (in width and height of pixels) are automatically displayed.
Any bitmap larger than 64 MB is broken into tiles.
Once you have defined your region, Click OK and save the file to an appropriate directory.
Note: files can be saved in either BMP or JPG format. In the following figure, the selected region is approximately 6km across and is represented at a scale of 10 meters per pixel.
