Import Third-Party Road Definition Files
If you selected Third-Party road definition file in the Import Alignment dialog, the file open wizard displays. These formats are supported:

In the File Open wizard
Select the relevant data format and click Next. The steps will depend on the file imported.
Browse to the appropriate road definition file. Quantm Desktop imports Horizontal and Vertical alignment files.
Warning: You must set the units in Quantm Desktop software to match the third-party definition file that is being imported:
Note: Quantm Desktop does not import cross sections. The default cross-section template will be used for the imported alignment.
Proceed through the wizard.
Click Finish.
Tip: If Quantm Desktop reports an elevation difference when importing a vertical alignment, Trimble recommends that you regenerate the vertical alignment file to at least three decimal places. Values for vertical slopes should be to at least five decimal places. The Alignment Import dialog displays.
Make sure the alignment you want to import is checked. Click Next. The alignment appears in the Alignment Review dialog.
Save the alignment
Click Save as... The Save Alignment as dialog appears.
Enter a file name for the alignment. The Alignment name appears in the Scenario Explorer >Scenario Notes tab.
To view the alignment, do one of the following:
From the Alignment Review dialog click View
If you have saved the alignment, from the Scenario Explorer >Scenario Notes tab right click the alignment file name. Select Review Result. The AlignmentReview dialog appears. Click View.
