Notes

The lower section of the Scenario Notes tab is a field that contains read-only notes about the selected scenario, results, or dataset. Notes can include information such as why the scenario or dataset was created, the significance of changes from the parent scenario, or what the scenario is seeking to investigate.

The display is read-only. The notes are date stamped to show when they were saved, and the header contains a checksum to verify their integrity and confirm they have not been tampered with since they were originally saved. When the project report is written, the notes provide a useful record of how particular decisions were reached.

The notes appear in the lower section of the tab. Notes are saved whenever you save the scenario data. Once saved, you cannot edit a note, however, you can append to it.

Append a note from the Scenario Explorer window

The upper section contains a read-only copy of any saved notes. The lower section contains a field for entering text.

Notes are the only element of a scenario or dataset that you can edit (add to) after the scenario is locked. This means that any errors in a dataset can be identified where the warnings can be easily seen.

Job submission notes

Enter job submission notes through the Job Submission dialog, see Creating a job. These notes indicate what you were trying to achieve with a particular submission.

Note: Job submission notes are entered separately from scenario notes, because one scenario may be used for several job submissions.

The notes appear in the lower section of the tab under Opb notes:

Note: You can not append the Opb notes. Clicking the Notes button when a results file is selected will add result notes.
