Scenario Notes

Display the Scenario Notes in the Scenario View

Select Scenario Notes from the View menu.

The Scenario Notes window appears.

Scenario Notes

The upper view window lists the names of the:

• Scenario

• Terrain model (DTM), see Create a Project.

• Geometric Parameters, see Geometry Data.

• Cost Parameters, see Cost Data.

• Object dataset (geographic features)

• Alignments files generated in the scenario

• Alignment files imported into the scenario.

The lower view window contains notes that you enter manually. These notes provide a coherent record of what was done, when, and why.

View and Edit Notes

Notes can be created for the scenario, as well as the data files that make up the scenario (DTM, geometric parameters, cost parameters, and objects). To read existing notes click a dataset to view the notes attached to it.

1. 1. Click a data set.

2. Click Note to view the notes attached to the selected dataset.

The display is read-only. Notes are date stamped to show when they were saved, and the header contains a checksum to verify their integrity and to confirm they have not been altered since they were originally saved.

Notes are saved whenever you save the scenario data. Once saved, they cannot be edited. However, you can always append to notes. See Notes.
