Project Explorer

The Project Explorer appears in the Project view when you have opened a project.

Tip: If you are currently viewing a scenario in the Scenario view, click General > Close Scenario to close the scenario. The Project View appears.

In the Project Explorer, the Scenario Tree displays the currently loaded project and its scenarios arranged in groups. Groups are a way of organizing scenarios of a similar nature together that relate to an objective within the planning process. 

In a high-speed rail project, for example, you may create one group investigating 6.5% maximum grade and a second group investigating 7% maximum grade. The scenarios within each separate group would be aimed at investigating these two objectives independently.

Groups

To create, rename, or delete a group, right-click an existing group to access the shortcut menu, and then select the appropriate action from the list. 

Only empty groups can be deleted. If you wish to delete a group, the locked scenarios must be transferred to another group; and the unlocked scenarios in a group can either be transferred to another group or deleted.

Tip: You can drag‑and‑drop a scenario to re-order it within a group or to move it to another group.
